Most people on dialysis sit in a chair three times a week, for four hours each time, to receive the life-sustaining treatment. That's more than 600 hours a year. A comfortable chair can make a big difference. That's why Northwest Kidney Centers has committed to replacing chairs in all its clinics, home training suites and patient homes. The new chairs, selected by patients and staff, are comfortable, durable and easy to clean. But most importantly, they're heated, a comfort-enhancing feature as most people on dialysis get chilled during treatment.
