Middlebury Quidditch is gearing up to go to Nationals! After the last two Nationals were cancelled, the biggest competition of the year is back. Middlebury has a strong history at Nationals, with 5 first place finishes under our belt and being the smallest school to qualify for the 2019 tournament.
Quidditch is an all-inclusive, coed sport that was created by Middlebury students and has since grown to be played throughout the US and worldwide. It functions as a kind of fusion of rugby and dodgeball, with elements of other sports mixed in to create an exhilarating, full-contact game. In the main season, we play teams throughout the Northeast, including UVM, Tufts, Harvard, and many others.
In the event that Nationals are canceled due to pandemic-related complications, donations will be retained in order to cover Nationals expenses for the subsequent year.
