To meet rising patient demand, care teams at RRMC need a second dedicated Postpartum Hemorrhage Cart in addition to the existing cart that care teams expertly utilize at the first sign of hemorrhage for all patients. Having a second cart enhances our ability to provide swift, life-saving care to new mothers, allowing care teams to initiate immediate treatment and interventions such as uterine massage, administration of medications, and blood product transfusions. This reduces the need for more invasive procedures and surgery, which carry their own set of risks.
