Story
Adele Flynn is a farmer, agricultural advocate, and community leader from Wellington, Ohio, who serves as Treasurer of the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation and the Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation. Alongside her husband, Eric, she operates a diversified family farm and partners in a cash grain operation producing crops across 1,100 acres. Adele has held leadership roles with organizations including Centerra Co-op, the Ohio Soybean Council, and the American Soybean Association’s WISHH Committee, and she spent nearly 15 years in agricultural lending before returning to farming full time. A dedicated supporter of youth and agriculture, she serves as a 4-H advisor and is raising three children with the same values that guide her business and community service.
Ty Higgins grew up on his family's dairy farm in Licking County. He started his career as a farm broadcaster as he studied at THE Ohio State University. After over a decade in country radio in Columbus, he found his way back to agriculture as a journalist and communication specialist at the Ohio Farm Bureau and began his role as General Manager for the Ohio Ag Net and Ohio's Country Journal last year. He is a proud spokesperson for Ohio agriculture and passionate advocate for farmers across the state.
Kimber Cook is a 13-year-old 4-H member from Ashville in Pickaway County, Ohio. She attends Logan Elm Middle School, where she is actively involved in both academics and extracurricular activities.Cook is a member of the Madison Livewires 4-H Club and Logan Elm Middle School FFA. She is also part of the Pickaway County Livestock Judging Team. She is very active in athletics as well, participating in Logan Elm Volleyball, Logan Elm Track, and club volleyball with the Lady Blue Knights. She recently completed cheerleading for Logan Elm Basketball. Cook has a strong dedication to showing livestock and has competed in the Southern Ohio Showdown Series, attending every show, as well as the Best Show Series, where she also attended every show. Her commitment, work ethic, and passion for agriculture are evident in everything she does. She is honored to have been selected to participate in the Ronald McDonald Celebrity Steer Show at the Ohio State Fair and is excited for the opportunity to represent youth in agriculture.
