The Student Athlete Advisory Committee is a student-athlete-led leadership group of 22 NCAA student-athletes who represent and voice the needs of all athletes at Cal Poly Humboldt. This year has been the most successful year of SAAC post-pandemic. The student-athletes have been very successful so far in advocating for programs, promoting engagement and being active in the community. Your gift will help SAAC be able to organize events during the school year that celebrate the student-athletes here at Cal Poly Humboldt. These events include dodgeball tournaments, Award Ceremonies, and the Student Section in Lumberjack Arena (“The Lumberyard”). The group also strives to create more resources for student-athletes; such as a nutrition station in our weight room. The next big event is the first-ever Humboldt Athletics Espys. This is an event celebrating all of the great accomplishments of each team during the 2023-24 school year. The goal is to establish this as an annual event and lay a foundation for the future.

In the next year SAAC is looking to buy more merchandise and gear to pass out during home games and to be able to brand the SAAC executive board and all the representatives from each team.
