We have a saying here at the Michigan House of Hope (the umbrella organization of the Sanilac Rescue Mission), "So far, so God!". Like so many quotes or sayings I have no idea of the author but this one surely fits our mission and walk of faith. We give it all to God! To God be the Glory! So often God requires us to take trusting steps of courage towards what He has called us to do. To seek Him and to show others His love.

Do you know where God needs you? I've come across so many people at a time of need and asked; God, what do you want me to do? When our paths cross the paths of the needy and the hurting what do you do? What have you done? To be honest, over the years my reactions have been all over the place. From just saying that I'll pray for you and passing along to paying for a hotel room and even allowing a homeless man to stay at my house for a few months. Now I wouldn't necessarily encourage some of what I did unless you felt as I did, that God was stretching and nudging me along towards total obedience. I'm now totally convinced that we are to look for ways to intersect with the hurting and the needy. Where does God need you? At the intersection where your gifts meet people's needs and hurts. Find those intersections. Your giving here allows us to continue to bring Hope, Direction, and Christ, to the homeless men of Sanilac County.
