On October 7, 2021 at 8:00 a.m., Childrens Trust will begin reading the names of the 15,277 children reported as abused in the 22 jurisdictions served by Childrens Trust. Each name represents an actual child and their experience of abuse.

For 16 hours straight, or until every name has been read, volunteers will read the names, ages and jurisdictions of children who were reported as abused in fiscal year 2019-2020. Because these children are minors and their identities must be protected, Jane Doe and John Doe will be used in place of their names. Through this event, we will bring awareness to our community about the prevalence of child abuse.

Save Jane is a national event and was developed and started by the Dallas Texas Childrens Advocacy Center in 2019.
