2020 has brought a lot of change. This school year began without the familiar rites of passage that mark the start of the academic year. However, the needs of our SAYA youth for mentorship, nurturing of ambition, and a sense of belonging remain evermore critical.

With social distancing the new norm, this year is vastly different than prior ones. We have faced some cuts in our government revenue, and were not able to hold our annual gala, the funds from which we raise annually support our high school and college programming, and allow for continued smooth running of our administrative functions. Hence, we are experiencing a substantial shortfall in our budget.

We are counting on you to help us close this funding gap.

No matter what form our programming takes, SAYA will continue to fulfill our mission to support young people in meeting their goals. Through the ups and downs of this year, we have provided leadership, college access and success, and enrichment programming to over 1,200 youth in elementary school through college.
