Since 1985, the SMC Orchestra has offered exceptional opportunities for students and community musicians to explore a diverse range of music, from symphonic to operatic. Our musicians—ranging from high school to collegiate and freelance artists—come together to perform major orchestral works and collaborate with contemporary composers.

Our orchestra brings powerful performances to Santa Monica's Broad Stage and throughout Los Angeles, fostering relationships with local schools and offering music education and opportunities for all musicians. Despite a recent budget crisis, the orchestra is thriving thanks to the support of people like you.
