Support the Sociology & Urban Studies students today!

Our goal is to raise funds to fully update the Sociology/Urban Studies Computer Lab on the third floor of Memorial Hall for our ambitious students. Our lab needs new PC and Mac computers so that students can learn a variety of skills including how to use the mapping software Arc-GIS, conduct interview coding, statistical analysis and more! Such skills will make our students more competitive when seeking internships and entering the job market. We'd also like to update the work stations to create both formal and informal meeting space in the room (i.e. a table with chairs for seminar-style meetings as well as comfortable chairs and perhaps a sofa for casual meetings). With enough donations, we'd love to have a water cooler, microwave, and a mini fridge available for students using the space. These improvements will help students foster a sense of community with one another and contribute to their success at Augsburg and beyond!
