Utah Food Bank Southern Distribution Center in St. George opened in 2011 to serve Utah's five southernmost counties: Beaver, Iron, Washington, Garfield and Kane. This facility supports 63 local pantries and other partner organizations, including Utah Food Bank Hurricane Valley Food Pantry.
Utah Food Bank strives, through its work and its resources, to reduce the toll that hunger and poverty takes on so many children and adults throughout our state. Last year, Utah Food Bank Southern Distribution Center distributed 7.8 million pounds of food (that's equivalent to 6.5 million meals).
With 45,000 southern Utahns facing hunger, and 1 in 4 southern Utah kids unsure where their next meal is coming from, Utah Food Bank Southern Distribution Center is proud to be a part of Utah Food Bank's statewide operations, which distributed 57.8 million meals statewide last year.
