Let's Get Ready to Ramble for the Animals!

We see all around us how so many people, businesses, and fellow nonprofits are affected by what is going on in the world. We have not been spared, and the challenges before us are great.

We recently found out that our spring city-wide yard sale has been cancelled. This event helps to sustain us going into kitten season. Last year we made $17,000.

We have prided ourselves on being able to help shelter animals who really need medical care. With that comes a big responsibility to have the money to pay for expenses. We have taken on some very substantial cases already this year. Without us stepping in, these animals would have died.

Unfortunately, with some projected spending and no immediate large fundraiser, we have halted our intakes for now. This was a gut-wrenching decision.

Just like the animals we help, when they appear to be down on their luck and in trouble they fight. We are used to being the ones who fight with them. Now, we need a little help in our fight to get back to helping them.

We hope you will help us get through this difficult time. The animals will need us more than ever.

What To Do

Any (or all!) of the following:

(1) Donate directly to the event on this page by clicking the pink DONATE button in the upper right of the page.

(2) Share the page on Facebook by clicking the SHARE ON FACEBOOK button right under the donate button.

(3) Click on the page of someone raising funds for the event by clicking on their individual page under FUNDRAISERS on the right side of the page. Then donate on their page, which gets added to their total (and ultimately added to the total for the event) or share their page.

(4) Become a fundraiser yourself by clicking on the orange START FUNDRAISING button on the right side of this page. You'll need to create a JustGiving account, and then you can customize your page and make a team if you wish. Then share your page with your friends and let them support you in raising money for the animals!

FAQs About the Ramble:

DATE: Ramble the weekend of May 15th -17th, but hey really any day you can in May.

TIME: Ramble any time between the time you get up and the time you go to bed.

WHERE: It's happening in a neighborhood near you... like ramble right out your front door.

WHO CAN RAMBLE: An individual, couples, families, teams, those pushing strollers, or holding on to a leash. Anyone. Everyone!

VIRTUAL BIBS: A virtual bib will be emailed to you within 48 hours from when you create your fundraising team, if you authorize JustGiving to share your email address with us. You can print it for your ramble, post it showing you rambled, and hang it on your fridge as a proud reminder you rambled with a purpose.

RESULTS: Look, maybe you just want to ramble around the block, maybe you have a goal distance in mind, or maybe you even want to time your ramble. Whatever makes you happy. A happy rambler = a happy us! And happy animals, as we save their lives and give them a second chance thanks to YOU!
