Established in 1986, the Chicago Public Library Foundation (CPLF) is an independent nonprofit that exists to accelerate the potential of our public library by investing in resources that transform lives and communities.

Story

From free homework help for K-12 students to creative spaces for teens to one-on-one digital literacy support for adultsour Chicago Public Library is home to countless stories of hope and success.

Meet Mary. When she visited her local Library branch for computer help, she was overwhelmed. But all she needed was someone to take her step-by-step, develop her digital skills and build her confidence in navigating our increasingly online world. Chad, the CyberNavigator assisted Mary with her lessons, is incredibly proud of her milestones.

From learning the basics of using a mouse, now Mary can use her Chromebook independently!

Your investment makes possible stories like thisstories of learning, connection, and discovery. Please consider a gift of any amount to ensure critical Library services like the CyberNavigator program and so much more remain accessible to Chicagoans of every age.
