The Shorter University Football Program is built on the foundation of relationships. These relationships are significant within the student-athletes, coaches, administration, but most importantly aiding in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

The commitment from the student-athletes is second to none, and they are working to better themselves every day on the field, in the weight room and in the classroom. They have bought into the Brick by Brick mentality working to improve daily. The program has seen a conference championship, 20 All-Americans, and 59 All-Conference players since inception 18 years ago. Last season the Hawks had a breakout campaign finishing 22nd in the country in passing touchdowns and 1st in the NCAA in fewest turnovers though out the season. The Hawks defense jumped from 8th to 4th overall in total defense in the Gulf South Conference.

The Shorter Football Team is currently preparing for the 2023 season as the season is just about to begin with the first game at FCS Samford University before heading into Division 2 play. Shorter Football has the opportunity to compete in the Gulf South Conference, which is one of the most challenging NCAA Division II Conferences in the nation.

At Shorter, we focus on offering the best training and instruction, positive feedback, and social support to the young men in the Football program and see every day as an opportunity for them to learn and grow.

The 2023 team is looking to add to the legacy of Shorter University Football Program. To help this legacy become a reality we need your help.

This year we are raising money to equip the program to continue to grow and thrive. With the money raised, the SU Football program will purchase new helmets and shoulder pads, aid in travel arrangements, uniforms, and team protein. With your help, we can take the next step forward and provide every football player with an improved intercollegiate athletic experience.
