Sullivan "Sully" Davis Jones was a son, big brother, friend, animal lover, and an amazing and caring person who was full of life.
Unfortunately, Sullys time on this earth was cut short just a few months prior to his tenth birthday. We hope that you will help us in celebrating his memory. Sully was an animal lover from the beginning. Weve never seen a little boy more curious and interested in all types of animals, which spanned from dinosaurs to modern day birds. He didn't just love learning about them, but he also jumped at every chance to be in their environment so that he could get within touching distance. Some of our favorite memories include combing the Charleston beaches looking for sharks' teeth, roaming our backyard hunting for crickets, and even spending hours at the South Carolina Aquarium, taking in the all-immersive experience that it offers.
In keeping Sullys love for animals at the forefront, we hope that you will help us build upon his legacy by making a donation to the Sullivan Davis Jones Avian Care Fund. As listed below, Sully's Fund will help unique and beautiful birds receive the care they need while also allowing Lowcountry residents and visitors to appreciate them while almost getting in touching distance.
Thank you,
Dru, Danielle, Sully, and Evie Jones
Of the over 5,000 animals that are cared for at the South Carolina Aquarium, our avian residents have some of the most specialized needs. Ten unique species of native birds, all of whom are rehabilitated or non-releasable, immerse our guests in the rich biodiversity that can be found across the state of South Carolina. With the establishment of Sully's Fund, the Aquarium is uniquely positioned to explore, innovate, and maintain engaging avian exhibitry.
