The Eleanor Wade Custer School of Nursing aims to prepare students for success in a challenging and rewarding profession. The mission of the School of Nursing is to empower lifelong learners who provide evidence-based, compassionate care to promote wellness for all.

Students learn in a variety of settings including classroom, campus learning lab, simulation, and clinical environments. Clinical experiences occur in a variety of settings designed to provide rich opportunities and introduce students to practice roles.

We are committed to providing an outstanding education to students at all levels -- whether pursuing a Bachelor's degree in nursing or an advanced practice nursing degree, including Masters and Doctoral level programs for practicing nurses.

Our programs focus on student learning outcomes, incorporating teaching and learning strategies focused on varied learning styles. Shenandoah Nursing offers in-person BSN programs in Winchester and Leesburg, and online synchronous / asynchronous classes for our advanced practice nursing programs.
