WALK THE WALK
Join us on Saturday, September 19th for our 19th Annual Friends of the Poor Walk, taking place on Belle Isle starting at 10:00 am. It’s a beautiful 5K through one of Michigan’s most scenic parks, and all gifts directly help our local Conferences serve those in need - offering hope, compassion, and real support to the poor, the homeless, the jobless, and others experiencing hardship in our community. We believe that caring for the poor is one of the most Christ-like acts we can do in this world. Support from our community is a powerful reflection of that calling, and we are truly grateful.
All walkers are highly encouraged to make a personal donation and inspire others to donate as well - it's a great way to talk about the work we do in the community and spread awareness of the mission and values of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul! Together, we can make a meaningful difference through solidarity and compassion.
Every step counts in our mission to alleviate poverty and provide essential resources to those who need it most. Help us create a brighter, more inclusive future for all by joining us at the Walk or supporting the participants through your donation.
