The #SWEETESTCAUSE is an online fundraising campaign that together with the Sugar Soirée is a chance for our supporters to impact everything we do - every genetic test we fund, every research grant we fund, every conference we offer, every family we reach, and every patient we support.

The Sugar Soirée is a night to celebrate those who live with HI, and another year of the incredible work of the HI community. The #SWEETESTCAUSE is an online campaign to celebrate our extended HI family as they raise funds for CHI. Funds raised during the #SWEETESTCAUSE campaign and the Sugar Soirée will support the work of CHI to:

*Help patients gain access to specialized treatment, medications, supplies, and cope with the burden of living with a rare disease.

*Advance new novel clinical research and sponsor the patient-powered research project, the HI Global Registry.

*Raise vital awareness of the condition to prevent prolonged hypoglycemia that can lead to brain damage and death.

*Educate the patient, medical, and biotech community on congenital hyperinsulinism from the global patient perspective.

*Provide HI genetic testing for patient families in need through the University of Exeter, a world leader in genetic testing.

CHI is a lifeline to those born with congenital hyperinsulinism (HI) and their families, a rare disease that causes dangerously low blood sugar that can lead to brain damage and death. CHI is the only US patient organization dedicated to supporting children and adults born with HI all over the world. CHI funds and conducts research for better treatments and a cure. CHI is the foremost advocate for increased awareness and better medical protocols for HI to reduce preventable brain damage and death from prolonged low blood sugar.

We have Sugar Soirée tickets reserved for our top fundraisers, who raise $1000 or more before October 13 (2 tickets per $1,000 raised), during our Support the #SWEETESTCAUSE campaign. Once a fundraising page goes up, and there is lots of excitement about it, funds are raised quickly, but don't delay because October 13 is not far away!
