In 2017, we asked the people of BC, Over the next generation, what pressing social role should Science World serve for its community?
Throughout consultations with over 1,400 people, a new organizational purpose emerged:
Science World will dramatically increase science knowledge across the province by 2024.

Everything we do now is in service of this new purpose.
Our five-year strategic plan has initiatives for everyone, regardless of age, background, geographic location or family income.
Our plan includes an initiative that unites dozens of provincial science hubs into one robust interconnected learning eco-system, the first of its kind in Canada.
Our plan includes a revitalized dome theatre and leading-edge innovative space where people of all ages will convene to discuss urgent questions at the intersection of science and society.
We are looking toward a bright tomorrow for everyone.
