The Spirit of Giving: Community Leaders Supporting Our Front-Line

We are fundraising to support the front-line staff who have always selflessly cared for our community.
We are fundraising to support the front-line staff who have always selflessly cared for our community.
Over the past almost three years, we have witnessed events both humbling and awe-inspiring: We have seen the staff at the University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center rise time and time again to the challenges put before them throughout this pandemic. Their resilience and courage under extreme pressure has been extraordinary. Each of us is blessed to have these incredible caregivers in our community. Everyone plays an essential role, from our nurses and physicians, to our environmental services and dietary teams. Their collective strength is what keeps us strong, courageous, and the Home of the Brave.
A gift to the UM St. Joseph Medical Center's Employee Resilience Fund contributes to a menu of services created to support our team members well-being in mind, body and spirit. One of these services is our Caring Cupboard, designed to help sustain our staff during this prolonged and difficult time. More than a food pantry, the Caring Cupboard is accessible 24/7 to all employees and provides things such as fresh produce, refrigerated and frozen foods, household products, baby-care products, health and hygiene products, and more, at no cost to them. These items provide sustenance and peace of mind to colleagues who need a bit of extra help during trying times.
A gift to the Employee Resilience Fund is a gift to the brave women and men that continue to care for our community in a time when that could mean risking their own health and well-being. Your gift to the Employee Resilience Fund is one of the many ways you can show your support of their exemplary and critical work. The time for pulling together is still upon us and with your help, our staff will continue to make the community healthier, safer, and stronger.
