While covid-19 has affected all of us in various ways, it has taken an especially hard toll on our refugee friends and neighbors. Many were already struggling with isolation due to language and cultural barriers. Adding a whole new set of rules and degree of separation has only intensified these struggles.

During this time, The INN Savannah was forced to innovate a fresh approach to meeting felt needs and strengthening relationships within our community. The use of media provided us a natural way to increase spiritual discussions as individuals sought out safe avenues to connect with others.

We are excited to build upon the invaluable ministry and technical experience and advances we gained during the covid-19 shelter-in-place. The media tools we have created and continue to produce will be useful well into the future.

What We Intend to Offer:

* Our popular online reading show, Mrs. Heathers Story Time, for school-aged children.

* English and Citizenship teaching videos for the benefit of our adult learners. These productions could be used multiple times.

* Videos that spur on conversations for better understanding of who God is through a biblical perspective.

* Training videos for INN volunteers teaching them how to engage refugee friends and neighbors.

Our Overall Objective:

Our desire is to produce quality materials enabling us to establish, maintain and strengthen relationships in the refugee community as well as improving skills and communication in our network of churches and volunteers.

Phase 1 completed!

We produced over 50 videos that are being distributed around the world! These videos are being used to equip workers and as avenues for conversations about who Jesus really is. As a result of these videos and other media projects, we have had more spiritual conversations in 2020 than in the five years leading up to it!

Phase 2 is in the works- Real Questions- our YouTube channel answering real questions about who God is.
