Our Son, Larkin J. Daria was born at 27 weeks at Good Samaritan Hospital. As a premature infant, he was fighting lung development (Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia) due to having little to no amniotic fluid in the womb. He could not breathe on his own and needed a Tracheostomy while his lungs tried to grow big and strong. After four months and ten days, his body had failed his spirit on February 29th, 2020.

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of Good Samaritan Hospital became our "home away from home" during Larkins stay. The staff, in its entirety, were passionate, thoughtful, and supportive. We knew our little one had the best possible care to give him the best possible chance.

Therefore, by contributing to this event, you will be helping families just like ours during their NICU journey and supporting our preemies of Cincinnati!
