We need a tool upgrade!!

Did you know that as a non-profit, the Arboretum at Flagstaff is run by a very small, dedicated staff? Our gardens staff is only made up of two full time people during the season and one person over the winter for maintaining our 200 acre property.

Frances B. McAllister founded the Arboretum at Flagstaff as The Transition Zone Horticultural Institute in 1981. She found gardening at 7,000 feet to be a challenge. Her experimentation and success in high elevation gardening prompted her to share her gardens and research with the community.

Story

200 acres is a lot to keep up with. Especially when you don't have the tools necessary to work efficiently. Any amount donated will go towards the purchase of good quality tools to help our garden staff. We really need a new chainsaw and pressure washer as well as everyday tools like shovels and rakes.
