Pancreatic cancer has the highest mortality rate of all major cancers. The 5-year relative survival rate is 10%. That means that 90% of Canadians diagnosed with pancreatic cancer will die. Pancreatic cancer is currently the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths in Canada, yet it continues to be underfunded, overlooked, and outpaced in research.
Pancreatic Cancer Canada is committed to raising the survival rate through major investments in research and increased awareness of the disease among the general public and healthcare professionals, while ensuring patients and their families have access to the specialized care and support they need at every stage.
Stand with us and demand survival, not sympathy, for pancreatic cancer patients and their loved ones. Your contribution will help support our efforts to raise the survival rate of pancreatic cancer through investments in innovative research, increased awareness, and specialized care and support for patients and their families.
We’ve raised enough sympathy. It’s time to raise the rate of survival.
