Join us for the 2023 Tour des Trees as we cycle through Nevada, past beautiful Lake Tahoe, and into Californias redwood country, promoting and teaching people about proper tree care and the importance of tree research.
The Tour des Trees is a multiday, supported bike tour. Tour des Trees riders will spend up to five days riding from Reno, Nevada area, past Lake Tahoe, and into Northern California, engaging with communities and raising funds for TREE Fund.
Riders can choose one, two, three, four, or five -day ride options and will raise funds for each day they ride. The total mileage over the five days totals over 380 miles!
In addition to riding and having fun on their bikes, riders will also be ambassadors for the TREE Fund and for tree science; stopping at various spots along the way and spreading the word about the importance of trees and tree care.
After registering, all riders will create an online fundraising page to help them towards their fundraising goal. Riders will also be able to reserve a custom bike jersey and other gear which will make them the envy of their cycling friends. Hotels and meals are provided, as well as sag support along the route.
This years Tour des Trees starts on Tuesday, September 26 and runs through Monday, October 2. For more information, visit www.treefund.org .
Cant make ride with us this year but still want to be a part of the event and support the TREE Fund? Set a goal for yourself by participating in our new TdT 350/350 Challenge!
The challenge is simple: Register for the TdT 350/350 Challenge, ride 350 miles, and raise $350 on your fundraising page. Track your accomplishments on your fundraising page via the Strava app. Everyone that is registered and accomplishes these goals will receive a custom cycling shirt.
Registration is free and there are no penalties for not reaching your riding or fundraising goals.
Tour des Trees riders can participate too! Get a group together, tell them to sign up for the challenge, and have them do your training rides with you to help you get in some miles. Tour des Trees in-person riders that also register for the challenge will have $350 added to their fundraising minimum.
