Story
The 14th annual Montclair Bikery Turkey Ride will benefit the Human Needs Food Pantry, which services residents in Montclair and surrounding towns throughout Essex County.
The Human Needs Food Pantry serves nearly 1,000 households every week.
The Human Needs Food Pantry gives out over 1800 turkeys and all the fixings for a Thanksgiving feast to its clients during the week of November 22. Over the last 13 years, the Turkey Ride has collected over 7,500 turkeys and raised over $340,000 for the Human Needs Food Pantry.

The 15 mile bike ride will take place Sunday morning, November 22, 2026 at 10 am (in-person registration begins at 9 am).
The Turkey Ride will leave from the Montclair Bikery on Valley Road in Montclair, and cyclists will ride a circular route from there to the Kings Supermarket in Upper Montclair, where they will buy a frozen turkey, and then carry this in their backpacks to the Human Needs Food Pantry on Label Street in Montclair for drop off.
For those who want to buy more than one turkey, there are vans that will take the extras back to the Pantry. A festive thank you party takes place at Egan’s restaurant next to the Pantry after the turkeys are dropped off.
Interested participants should register at www.bikereg.com/Montclair-Bikery-Turkey-Ride or in-person at the store the day of the ride. Riders may also sign up the day of the ride. All riders must be 18 years or older, or 13+ with a parent, and are asked to bring $22 to buy the turkey.
Bicycles, tandems, electric bikes and unicycles are all allowed! All riders must wear a helmet.
Cyclists may buy additional turkeys and these will be transported to the Pantry as well.

Support the Turkey Ride by Donating Here!
This fundraising page allows anyone to donate to the event. All proceeds will be used to purchase turkeys and all of the necessary side dishes for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. A $22 donation funds one turkey, $44 donation funds two turkeys, and a $66 donation funds three turkeys! Our goal is to collect 1,400 turkeys this year!
Donate and share with friends and family - on social media or through email.

Not riding but have a turkey to donate?
Community members can drop off frozen turkeys at the Human Needs Food Pantry on Sunday, November 22nd. We are also collecting other Thanksgiving foods, including instant mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, pie crust mix and filling!
