Story

Two guys with two cars and two big hearts started the Turkey Truck in 1998 to help provide a good meal on Thanksgiving for folks that needed it. Since then, the Turkey Truck has grown to provide 100% of the dinner protein Pine Street puts on its tables year-round.

Your contribution will support bulk purchases of protein that will provide much needed nourishment to the many men and women in our emergency shelters. All of us at Pine Street Inn are grateful for your generosity.

In 2019, supporters of the Turkey Truck helped provide:

· 74,595 pounds of turkey and other protein for our kitchen

· Provided the protein for 228,047 meals

· 100% of all the dinner protein served to shelter guests for the entire year

Did you know? You can contribute to the Turkey Truck through your Donor Advised Fund! If you have any questions, please contact Peter Trainor at peter.trainor@pinestreetinn.org.

About the charity

Founded in 1969, Pine Street Inn provides a comprehensive range of services to nearly 2,000 homeless men and women each day. We are the largest homeless services provider in New England, and could not do this important work without the support of our donors and local community. Since that time we have been providing a comprehensive range of programs and services, including housing, emergency services, and workforce development. Our ultimate goal is to end homelessness by making permanent housing a reality for all.
