"We as coaches are tasked to create an environment that challenges our student-athletes, not just on the court but off the court as well, so they are prepared for life's obstacles after graduation. Growth happens in many ways to prepare for a basketball season, lift heavier weights, running longer or faster, get up lots of shots. It is our goal as leaders of this program to give them athletic, educational, and cultural opportunities to grow as individuals and prepare them for life’s next chapter as well. There is no greater growth opportunity than foreign travel. It enlarges your perspective, it enhances your view of the world, and it creates empathy for other cultures. This trip to Greece on August 6 of 2024 is a once in a lifetime experience that they will remember forever.
