Utah Tech Universitys competitive pickleball team is the #1 ranked team in the country according to DUPR, the industry-leading ranking system. The UT pickleball club is #1 in every category: club members, team rank, social media following, and overall structure. We strive to be ahead of the curve and trail-blaze the way for the rest of the collegiate community, so naturally, we are looking to become the first university to provide scholarships for our competitive team for the Fall semester of 2023.

The collegiate circuit run by DUPR regulates participatory conditions for all collegiate members, and requires a minimum enrollment of 6 tuition-based credits per season or semester. Due to this, we are asking for funding to cover the expenses of a 6-credit tuition cost for four competitive team members which amounts to a total of $6,100. With the tuition expense met, our team will be able to focus on acquiring appropriate funds for other necessary factors such as travel expenses.

In 2023, the competitive team plans on traveling to: Arizona Regional ( March 25-26 ), Collegiate Individual Championships ( Fort Worth,TX April 14-16 ), Utah Regional ( September 9-10 ), Nevada Regional ( October 7-8 ), and finally the Collegiate National Championships ( Atlanta, November 17-19 ). These competitive events often require heavy expenditures due to travel costs and other necessary accommodations for the team members. In order for our team to have the most success and best performances, they will need to dedicate their time to hard work and training. If we receive this funding, it will alleviate stress and time spent making ends meet in order to fulfil financial eligibility requirements. This funding will serve as a tool to ensure Utah Tech University remains the #1 ranked team in the nation.
