Each year, more than 2,200 patients, including approximately 500 stroke patients, rely on Vancouver Islands centre for neurological care at Victoria General Hospital.

Your directed donations helps fund these purchases so patients have the best chance at a full recovery.

Last year, our hospitals saw over 240 brain surgeries, 490 stroke cases and more than 670 spinal surgeries. Neurosciences and rehabilitation patients face many challenges, sometimes in the bodys most intricate areas, the spine and brain. Brain injuries can be life-altering and thats why getting the right treatment quickly is so crucial to patient success. Equipment is essential to this.

Thankfully, the neurosciences & rehabilitation teams are always ready. Our neuroscience experts treat a range of conditions, including trauma, epilepsy, tumours, multiple sclerosis and Parkinsons disease. Our Rehabilitation team maximizes a patients potential and function by looking at every other problem that will happen to a patients body as a consequence of their initial condition and actively working to mitigate them.
