Building Goodness Foundation, Virginia Tech Chapter

As a subset of the Building Goodness Foundation in Charlottesville, Virginia, we are committed to serving Southwest Virginia through small-scale construction projects. Based at Virginia Tech, we are a student-run, construction service organization.

Building Goodness Foundation is a nonprofit construction organization based in Charlottesville, VA. We connect skilled volunteers from the construction industries with local and international opportunities to use their professional skills for a good cause.

Story

Our primary focus is supporting other charitable organizations by providing construction expertise and assistance while also undertaking small projects of our own. By connecting industry professionals with passionate volunteers, we help deliver high-quality new and renovated spaces that empower organizations to better serve their communities.

Building Goodness Foundation at Virginia Tech was formed in 2017. As a student-run organization we are 100% funded through donations. This past year our team built a barn door for Mountain View Humane Clinic in Christiansburg, Virginia. We have also built an oversized Jenga set and a little free library for the Community Housing Partners to support their local after-school programs. Currently, our team is working on projects with the Roanoke Valley SPCA and Mountain View Humane Clinic.
