WiGSS is a student-run organization dedicated to supporting the graduate student community in the Wildlife Department at Cal Poly Humboldt.

Through small grants, WiGSS helps offset the cost of presenting at conferences, attending professional events, and purchasing essential lab and field supplies. These funds make a real difference—reducing the financial burden that often falls directly on graduate students.

WiGSS also builds a stronger wildlife community through events like the EcoSeries speaker series, bringing in experts to share research, methods, and field experiences. Additional workshops and social events create opportunities for collaboration, connection, and professional growth across campus and beyond.
