Story
The 'WISN 12 Day of Giving' initiative has teamed up with the MACC Fund to fight childhood cancer and related blood disorders!
The goal of this initiative is to support local nonprofit organizations throughout Southeastern Wisconsin. One day a month, the station will feature a different nonprofit to help advance its mission, pursue its goals, and most importantly, improve people's lives.
The MACC Fund is a local nonprofit whose mission is to find a cure for childhood cancer and related blood disorders by providing funding for research. Since 1976, the MACC Fund has contributed nearly $90 million to research and has seen overall cure rates rise from 20% to 85% today.
The MACC Fund supports local research conducted with its medical partners at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Children's Wisconsin, the UW Carbone Cancer Center, and the Marshfield Clinic.
