Women's Lacrosse - Clash of the Titans 2019

Our goal this year is $10,000 to help offset travel expenses because we do have to travel so often. In addition to travel costs, we also need to update the locker room and need new equipment.

Visit the charity's profileWhen a team plays in the Southern Conference, it involves a lot of travel. We face schools in Maryland, Delaware, Michigan, Wisconsin and Ohio. We will play in South Carolina twice this season. Our goal this year is $10,000 to help offset travel expenses because we do have to travel so often. Sometimes we drive and sometimes we fly and it is always expensive, especially when we take the whole team, which has a roster of about 30 women. In addition to travel costs, we also need to update the locker room and need new equipment.
The Titans are entering their 12th season as a program and second under head coach Megan Callahan 13, a former Titan player who is in her fourth year as part of the Detroit Mercy womens lacrosse staff. Callahan previously served as the assistant coach for two seasons.
The Titan women's lacrosse program is the two-time defending co-regular season champions in the Southern Conference. Detroit Mercy has two-straight seasons of 4-1 marks in Southern Conference play and has totaled 18 victories over the past two seasons, including eight triumphs last season in Callahan's first year as the leader of the program.
