A mind is a terrible thing to waste, but a wonderful thing to invest in!

I am Leilani Gibson, a growing WU Bulldog freshman majoring in Business Management from Middletown, Ohio. I currently serve as Wilberforce University Miss United Negro College Fund (UNCF). I am inspired to be the next Miss National UNCF.

The United Negro College Fund (UNCF) is the nations largest and most effective minority education organization. There are 37-member institutions, Wilberforce University being one of them. UNCF awards students over $100 million in scholarships annually and serves over 50,000 students per year.

With your generous donation and support of my fundraising campaign, I will be able to compete for the title of Miss National UNCF and continue to represent those who came before and after me.

I am humbled and grateful for the contributions UNCF has made and continues to make to many young, inspiring African Americans pursuing higher education. As Wilberforce University Miss UNCF, I intend to encourage more students to take advantage of and maximize the numerous opportunities offered by UNCF.
