Story

Serve-a-Thon is an annual Youth Educational Services (Y.E.S.) volunteer event in honor of Cesar Chavez Day and marks the finale of the Y.E.S. annual fundraiser.

For the past 55 years, Y.E.S. has been instrumental in empowering and enriching numerous lives through its student-led volunteer programs in collaboration with local schools and community organizations. Y.E.S. programs are carefully designed to cater to the specific needs of the communities we serve while also equipping student volunteers with teamwork and leadership skills.

By engaging in activities that align with their passions, Y.E.S. programs enable students to develop a strong sense of belonging within Cal Poly Humboldt and the wider community, an essential factor in their overall success.

About the charity

Cal Poly Humboldt students enjoy an extraordinary college experience, taking small classes taught by professors who know them by name. They live and learn in one of the world's most beautiful places—near ancient redwood forests, mountains and beaches.
