For more than 100 years, we’ve been bringing families, neighbors and friends together in a motivated and fun environment to learn, play and grow. Through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility, we’re committed to nurturing potential and strengthening communities.

Story

Our goal has always been to provide equitable access to youth and families in communities that are underserved to support the health and wellness needs of those communities through a range of programs.

More than 68,000 individuals count on the Y each year. So, COVID-19 or not, we will never turn away anyone needing our assistance to the people who need us the most.

We can't do our work without you, when it comes to providing access and most often, free services to people in marginalized, targeted, and vulnerable low-income communities.

Please consider making a generous gift to support the following:

Early Childhood Impact

16 Early Childhood Learning Centers, located in underserved neighborhoods, provide pre-school childcare, health, mental health and dental screenings, education for special needs children, and parent support workshops, all ensuring every child will be ready for kindergarten.

Youth Development

25 Before and After School Care sites serve kindergarten through middle-school students with high quality activities including critical thinking skills and tutoring assistance. The Youth & Government Program provides students with youth leadership and civic engagement opportunities. The Y-Scholars Program supports low-income first-generation students with academic skill-building and college preparation.

Healthy Communities

Our branches have re-opened with safety guidelines in place and the Y is providing daily workouts through the Virtual Y. Outdoor fitness classes keep our community healthy and connected. Financial assistance is offered to low-income individuals to participate in programs and services offered by the Y branches.

As we slowly open more of our programs and services in-person, the demand will significantly increase for us to deliver on these commitments. We're counting on your gift once again. Your last gift made a difference to the Y and to everyone we served. COVID-19 forced us to reimagine how we engage with children, families, youth and adults in our communities, especially those hardest hit economically and socially by the pandemic. Throughout the worst of the crisis, we found ways where people could still access our programs and services.

Would you partner with us again to increase our capacity to serve the most marginalized and vulnerable families?
