Story
The true power of giving is knowing that your gift uplifts your neighbors when they need it most.

When you donate to the Y, your generosity provides opportunity, nourishes, heals, empowers and creates a stronger community for all.
This is our commitment, but we can't do it alone. We count on the generosity of our members and partners to help us continue this vital work.
During the 2026 Community Support Campaign, we hope you learn something new about the Y, feel inspired and help make our future possible.
Together, let's build a stronger community and create a brighter future for our children.
Here are just some of the ways the Y impacts our community:
-The YMCA of Northern Colorado serves more than 1,500 families with financial assistance to licensed childcare programs annually. This includes preschool, after-school care and summer camps and this support ensures parents are able to provide for their families.
- People of all ages visit our Ys annually over 700,000 times, finding a community of wellbeing, connection and camaraderie.
- Over 250 middle and high schoolers participate in YMCA teen leadership and service programs annually to cultivate a cohesive environment, enhancing communication, life-skills, and collaboration among teens.
- We provide 3,000 children with a safe environment to nurture confidence, learn about sportsmanship and become a teammate in Y Sports programs annually.
- The Y is expected to provide more than $2 million in financial assistance in 2026 for families, seniors and individuals accessing Y programs and membership in Northern Colorado.
Thank you for considering a donation to support these programs and efforts.

And your gift goes further with the help of the Colorado Childcare Contribution Tax Credit, a 50% state income tax credit.

Right now, families are facing unprecedented challenges. Cuts to needs-based childcare assistance and early childhood education programs are stressing already struggling parents. The children who really, truly need safe spaces, mental health support and positive mentors are left at home. Parents who need to work to put food on the table are forced to quit their jobs to take care of their little ones. At the Y, we are facing this crisis with compassion and courage. When you give to the Y, you are directly impacting your neighbors. You are ensuring that seniors and families have a safety net to catch them in moments of hardship. You are providing young people with safe spaces, supportive peer communities, mentors and programs that empower them to dream big, achieve more and overcome obstacles. You are giving them hope. It’s only made possible because of the people who believe in our cause, in our work, in our mission."
