HELPING THE SENIORS OF AHWATUKEE STAY INDEPENDENT AT HOME

The YMCAs Outreach Programs for Ahwatukee Seniors (YOPAS) has been providing support services to Ahwatukee seniors since 2001. OPAS started as a grassroots effort at Mountain View Lutheran Church in 2001, in 2006, due to the need for more volunteers, OPAS became a program of the Ahwatukee Foothills Family YMCA.

YOPAS is a community effort offering FREE support services for Ahwatukee seniors and their caregivers. Services are provided by community volunteers the generous neighbors of Ahwatukee. The objective is to meet the needs of the growing senior population in Ahwatukee, with the goal of enabling seniors to maintain independent living in their own homes.
