On June 21, we’re hitting the bike paths of Ottawa — bikes glowing, spirits high — to raise vital funds for the YMCA’s Second Stage Housing Program, which supports youth transitioning out of homelessness.
This isn’t just a ride. It’s a statement of support for young people who deserve more than survival — they deserve safety, community, and a future.
Morgan Bello, our Grand Marshal, is cycling 275 km over 7 days as a powerful act of solidarity. He’s seen firsthand how the Y’s support can change lives — and he’s determined to shine a light on the need for safe housing and mental health care for youth in our region.
“Every kilometre I ride is for a young person who deserves a second chance. No one should have to grow up without a safe place to call home.” — Morgan Bello
Right now, thousands of youth in Canada are without stable housing. Many are aging out of care or fleeing unsafe situations. The YMCA’s Second Stage Housing Program provides more than a roof — it offers mental health supports, life skills, employment help, and a real path forward.
With your help, we can expand this life-changing program and support even more young people in need.
