Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated was founded at Howard University in 1920. The Chi Iota Chapter was founded on the campus of the College of Charleston in 1981. Chi Iota supports the Elder Care Project and members participate in cleanups for local Charleston parks. The Chi Iota Chapter won Alumni Pep Supper in 2020 with the highest participation rate.
