Story
It is with immense sadness that we can confirm four Save the Children staff members were killed on Wednesday 24th January in an attack on the Save the Children office in Jalalabad, Afghanistan.
All other staff have been safely rescued from the office. Four were injured in the attack and are receiving medical treatment.
Save the Children humanitarian workers are helping children in places like Afghanistan, every day, taking huge risks to ensure that children in some of the most dangerous places in the world are protected – and we will not stop.
It’s only because of your support that we’re able to reach children at risk around the world.
To honour those who put themselves on the front line everyday and those who lost their lives in the attack, Save the Children has launched The Solidarity Fund.
All money raised will go to our work with children in areas of conflict providing protection, healthcare and education.
Please donate to the Save the Children Solidarity Fund and help us continue this life saving work in conflict zones around the world.
