Gil Gives Back

During one of our last conversations before his death, our dad Gil, brought up the fact that Credit Valley Hospital (CVH) has so significantly contributed to our health and well-being throughout our entire lives.
The two of us were born at CVH, and we've received an abundance of care from them since then, including emergency trips, surgeries, and appointments. Fast forward to November 2018 when our mom Carmen was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, CVH was there to support her and provide her with all the care necessary to deem her cancer-free.
Over the past year and a half — even amidst the COVID-19 pandemic — the staff, volunteers, nurses and doctors at CVH have shown their dedication in treating and supporting our dad in his journey and battle with Stomach Cancer. They stayed dedicated in helping him achieve his ultimate goal of comfort especially in this past month when we discovered that the cancer had spread to his brain.
Our dad had such big plans to volunteer and fundraise for CVH in order to give back for all the care they've given to us; he even brainstormed a multitude of events we could organize to raise these funds. From tennis/poker/basketball tournaments, to dance/music showcases to summer parties and bonfires, he had it all planned out. Our hope is able to do all of this in his name, and we wanted to kick-off our efforts with this fundraiser.
Thank you in advance for your support.
Love always,
The Yap Family
