The Myton Hospices - Skydive (September 2023) · 30 September 2023 ·

We need to raise £10.5 million this year, so we are genuinely concerned about the impact the spiralling cost of living and energy prices will have on us.

Story

In memory of our beloved Katie P.

‘Spice up that life folks’

I have chosen to SkyDive to try to help raise vital funds for Myton Hospice. I am doing this as Deputy Mayor of Rugby to support the Mayor of Rugby’s chosen charity.

My main reason and inspiration for doing this Sky Dive is in memory of my wife's cousin Katie Pritchard who sadly lost her battle with cancer on the 17th of June at just 37 years of age. She spent her last 4 or 5 weeks at Myton Hospice and they were amazing, treating her with the utmost respect and dignity and ultimately she felt safe in their care. Katie was chief bridesmaid at our wedding 20 years ago and would always do things outside her comfort zone.

Anyone who knows me will know that jumping out of a plane is never something I’ve ever wanted to do. Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet though and step outside of your comfort zone.

This is for you Katie.

Any support would be greatly appreciated for this fantastic cause.

Thank you
