Story

Three and a half years ago, our world shattered. My brother, Owen, took his own life. He didn’t get the right help when he needed it most, and now he’s gone. The grief of losing him has changed our family forever. There’s an emptiness that will never be filled—a seat at the table that will always be empty, moments that should have been shared but never will be. The pain isn’t something that fades; it’s something we learn to live with every single day.

Since then, I’ve battled my own mental health struggles. Postpartum anxiety and imposter syndrome have made me question myself as a mother, a wife, and a career-driven woman. But I’m not the only one—so many people are silently fighting battles with their mental health, often feeling like they have to face them alone.

That’s why this March, I’m walking 100 miles. 🚶‍♀️ It’s a huge challenge for me—I don’t walk at all right now. Between work, family, and the daily battle with anxiety, exercise has never been my priority. But this is different. This walk is for Owen. It’s for me. It’s for anyone struggling with their mental health.

I’m doing this to support Mind, a charity that works tirelessly to make sure people like Owen get the help they need before it’s too late. Their work is vital:

• 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem each year.

• Suicide is the biggest killer of men under 50 in the UK. 💔

• 1 in 5 women struggle with their mental health during or after pregnancy.

No one should suffer in silence. If we can break the stigma, raise awareness, and fund crucial support services, we can help save lives.

🙏 Please, if you can, donate. Every step I take is for those who feel like they can’t take another. Every pound raised could make the difference between someone getting help—or not.

💙 Thank you for your support.
