I am running the Robin Hood Half marathon on Sunday 29th September, this will be  my first half marathon that I will be running, I have been training really hard and this is all to raise money for Hayward House specialist palliative care unit at Nottingham City Hospital..

Hayward House is a specialist palliative care unit in the grounds of the City Hospital. It provides high quality care centred on the needs of patients and their families. Its aim is to enrich the quality of life through the skills of an experienced and caring team. Hayward House offers palliative care from diagnosis, through the interim periods of advancing disease, up to and including end of life care.

Patients’ pain and other symptoms are addressed along with emotional, spiritual and social problems of both patients and their families. A bereavement/counselling service is also provided.
