Aberdeen Tower Abseil 2023 · 10 June 2023 ·

Feel on top of the world join SBH Scotland back where it all started in 2019 as we get involved with our 2nd Aberdeen Tower Abseil. Taking place at the iconic Northern Lights Tower at the Kings Church, Aberdeen.

Story

My sister was genuinely one of my hero's.  I went through all my life thinking she had Spina Bifida, turns out it was something else and nobody told me or they did and I forgot.

My sister was in a wheelchair her entire life but this didn't prevent her being extremely independent and raises money for charities every year without fail.

I'm more determined than ever since losing my sister earlier this month (Feb 23) and this is my way of paying back so I am taking part in Aberdeen Abseil with Team SBH Scotland on Saturday 10th June 2023.

This is a 131ft free fall abseil adrenaline adventure, is not for the fainthearted and I am nervous but excited at the same time!!!

All money raised will go directly towards ensuring that everyone with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus in Scotland is supported and their individual needs are met in order to allow them to live the highest quality of lives possible.

Please donate whatever you can as a little money really does go a long way!!!!

My extra challenge is I am over the permitted weight limit so I also have to lose weight and I've set a goal of 3 stones at least by June.

So far since starting on 8th Jan I have lost 1st 6lbs (20/2/23)
