Story
I don't enjoy running. I don't (my boyfriend, Florian will confirm this). I'd rather be swinging off things, or being upside down...but, running was possibly the core thing I did to get the endorphins I needed to help me out of the house, and to my first appointment which was arranged by Mind. And now, I still keep running (even though I whinge about it).
Those close to me know I am the half-glass-empty sort of person. And, in honesty, another depressive spell combined with burnout which I somehow didn't recognise until it was there...made for a tough result. Thankfully, Mind was there to signpost, support and offer a listening ear.
Mind is a UK Mental Health Charity that provides key services to help anyone needing mental health support. I truly believe in what they do and fully appreciate the sheer amount of resources they provide both online and on the ground. So, this October, I will be running in the Royal Parks Half Marathon and raising funds for a very important part of our lives. We all need an avenue for mind space - let's keep Mind as a port of call.
Thank you in advance for supporting and donating whatever you can, there are many hugs in return! Hopefully not sweaty, and also alive~
