Take a moment and picture with me the deep blues of the beautiful Detroit River rushing alongside the Riverwalk as your favorite freighter goes by and take a deep breath. 2020 is almost over. This serene place is made possible because of years of hard work by the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy (DRFC), I am honored to have joined this incredibly dedicated team in 2018. 

This has been a tough year, and the riverfront has not been spared the impacts, but through it all my colleagues have stayed the course, selflessly devoting themselves to serving the people who use our parks, working hard to keep everyone safe, and healthy, and even fed. Providing a place to get outside, programs to connect during isolation, and vital space to clear your head. 

Our parks and greenspaces are critical to the physical and mental health of our community, and I am asking you to join me in making a gift to the DRFC this #GivingTuesday.
