For every $1 in operating costs, APA generates $8 in donated medical and dental care Adapting to the changing landscape of healthcare on a national, statewide and local level, Anchorage Project Access (APA)’s mission remains extremely relevant today. Developed to increase access to healthcare for low income, uninsured members of our community by using a volunteer network of providers working in a coordinated fashion to create a compassionate and efficient program of necessary services for those in need, APA has provided access to healthcare and reduced hospital charity care costs. APA has recruited over 630 volunteer medical and dental partners. APA takes the services to the patient, assists individuals to access insurance and provides patient care coordination through health systems to achieve successful outcomes.
